We spent the last 2 days of 2011 camping out in Florida State Parks. Our main goal was to get down to Tampa and get Bear in with some quality swim time while finally getting in those camping trips I’ve been asking for all year.
Our first night was spent here:
Our second night was spent in Alafia River State Park.
We didn’t get to spend much time at Alafia, but this park definitely needs to be explored further. Saturday morning we finally made it over to Davis Island. As a puppy, and up to May 2010, Bear and I would spend majority of our time at the beach. I think that was probably the highlight of living in Tampa. I could get off of internship at 3:30, drive the two minutes home to grab Bear and be at Davis Island for 2 hours at least 3 times a week. I feel bad now that we only get to go swimming together once every 6 months or so.
